HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful and bright Christmas!

I know we did, it snowed on my birthday!! And alot of snow at that!!

I also got some really cute crafting bits for Christmas!! More on that in a bit.

So to get the New Year started off, I created a new blog, from my previous blog you will already know and understand why. 

But there was a couple of reason behind the change:

1.Just some rather rude comments about the name of the blog...rude comments!

2.People were just really having a hard time either remebering the name or they couldnt find it .

3.So it was the right thing to do !

So...What did you all get for Christmas?

I finally got a Cricut Gypsy!! And a couple Cricut cartridges, and a Kandi Rhinestone setter. If you have not seen the Kandi Rhinestone setter yet, it is a very cool tool!! 

So new things I have planned for this year:

Going to hopefully be making some video tutorials on different things!

Also going to be doing some product reviews of different items.

I'm back:)

Ok so I have been away awhile. Lots of things have been going on.

We were planning on moving back to the states this year,
but other things have come up. So moving has been put
off til early -middle of next year now :(

And then around Easter my mother delivered my brothers -girlfriends baby:) Her name is Kylee Faith. And she is beautiful. And I am very excited to be an aunt again !!!

Also back in March-April, I started a craft club at my childrens school. And it has been loads of fun, being able to show the ladies that come weekly new techniques as well as learning new things. So I have been very busy with that , and now that the kids are about to break up for the summer , I have a bit of time to sit and blog.

My oldest son David finished high school. He starts 6th form in the fall , and My 2nd oldest son Derek is starting high school, and Emma will be in 3rd grade .....where does the time go !! Seems like yesterday I was changeing diapers lol.

Anyways.....

Anya Rocks the Farm

I made this card for my sister-in-laws birthday:)
I love this stamp and its such a fun image to work with and colour.
And it being summertime
I wanted bright and vivid colours.

I coloured the image in useing Promarkers.
Highlighted with a Gelly roll pen.

Bumble Bee Birthday:)

I made this card for my nieces birthday.
I embossed the light pink cardstock with my BigShot machine,
and used a Xcut border punch for the scallops. You can't tell from the image,
but on the black parts of the bee I used black flocking powders. Added google eyes,
and highlighted with a Gelly roll pen.


Fishy Birthday

This card is for a friends birthday that is coming up .
I wanted something fun and summery.

Stamp by: TGF
I coloured the fish in useing Promarkers.
Added glitter glue to the water, sand, plant, and fish.
Embossed the card ,and highlighted with a Gelly roll pen
Sentiment is by C.C.DESIGNS

Surfer Dude

This card is for my sons 16th birthday. Again I wanted to make something
that was fun and summery . Also I have not made a bookatrix card before ,
and I have really enjoyed making this.

Coloured him in useing Promarkers.
Used Glitter glue on the 16 and birthday.

Copper-Ivory Wedding

This card is for a friend . She asked me to make a
card for her son that is getting married. She told me the colours are
Copper and Ivory...such pretty colours !!
Again, I used the bookatrix board to make this card. It isnt finished yet, There is a tag that will go on the right side. But its so pretty , I just wanted to show what I've done so far:)

Sassy Lassies

Today over at The Greeting Farm blog,
we got our first challenge for the Battle of the Teams.
And its pretty cool, the challenge is to create a card
with a retro theme and useing a colour scheme.

So here is the picture we have to go by for the colour scheme.
They are really pretty
bright spring colours:)

Here is a review of what is going to be happening .


TGF Royal Battle


What is it: Your team is considered a design team and this is a battle of Design Teams. Teams will be voted off each week by the public.

How does it work: This is a 5-week contest. Every week (on a Wednesday), we will announce the 'theme' or 'challenge' of the week and you must decide amongst your teammates who will be doing the challenge for that week. Each team member must participate at least once. Projects must be turned in to the Leader who will submit it to us (thegreetingfarm@gmail.com) by Saturday evening. We will post up the projects in the appropriate folders in the gallery. Once the entries are up, everyone can go through and comment. Each comment counts as a vote for that entry. The following week, the top half of the team will get to go onto the next round and so on and so forth. So basically, the teams get narrowed down each week, etc.

The Prizes: There will be 3 awards. 3rd Placers will each get a free stamp set of their choice. 2nd Placers will each get 3 free stamp sets of their choice.

1st Place winners will be the FIRSTS to receive this suuuuuper fabulous rubber stamp set called ROLL CALL! Consisting of 10 NEW Wildsprout characters with 6 sentiments. It is valued at $90! This kit is red rubber!!! This kit is so exclusive, we don't even know the exact date of its release. All we know for certain is that the winning team will be the first to own it.



So NOW do you want to play? So get to know your team members. The first challenge starts next Wednesday and if you're kinda confused on how it works, no worries, it'd be more clear once it starts.

Am Back !!

Ohh so many things have been going on !!
So where do I begin .. well my pc got a very very nasty virus on it. From facebook :( So had to get it fixed.

And Thanksgiving and Christmas..made lots of cards and had planned on posting them and got them off to everyone and relaized I hadnt takin pics of anything :(

Then my computer went again !! Another nasty virus ..got it from the post office website...but this virus was superbad....had to have my computer redone !!

Then my cousin had her 1st baby :) And he is a cutie !!!

My daughter also turned 7 on the 11th of Feburary, then my great niece turned 7 on the 14th of Feburary,and then my twin nieces, also turned 7 on the 19th of Feburary !! Yes all of us were pregnant at the same time LoL. And we all had girls!!

So now I am back..got some cards I am going to post now that things are slowing down a bit hehe .

Have missed the inspiration!! And chats with people :)

Copics or Promarkers ?

Am just trying to find out what people prefer to use. Copics or Promarkers ?And if Copics what kind?...Cause there are sketch and ciao and normal lol . What are the advantages or dis-advantages of useing Copics or Promarkers ? Do you need a certain type of paper or ink to stamp with before useing them ?
Is there any difference at all between them other than colours and branding name ?

I am wanting to buy a set of markers . But its very confuseing :(

At the moment I use Whisper Strokes markers with a waterbrush . And watercolour paper for my images stamped with Stazon ink .

Problems with Blogs and Internet Explorer

For those of you haveing problems due to Internet Explorer and blogs.......you might want to try Mozilla Firefox browser. Which you can find here and here .
The first link is for Europe...the 2nd is for the U.S.
Just run and install.

I myself do not use IE way to many bugs . I use Firefox,and have no problems with blogs .

Elisabeth Bell Designs

I found this blog candy ....blog hopping today and looking at loads of wonderful cards made by people :)
Some really pretty cards out there :)
Anyways..I came across this candy and it lead me to Elisabeth Bell Designs .
So to enter Elisabeth's wonderful candy you have to share a special childhood moment .

So this is mine :)

When I was , I think 8-9 I was sooo into insects !! Loved them !! Loved catching crickets and caterpillers and lighting bugs(fireflies) all sorts . So my mother knew a woman that made handmade bug boxes . And she had her make me one . The box was wonderful , I thought it was the neatest thing ever ..not only did my mom have her make me a wooden bug box, but she had painted on it . So on this box is an image of a girl with butterflies and crickets, and my name was painted on it as well . So I caught a caterpiller and I dont really remeber how long it was , might of been a few weeks, but it had cacooned and hatched into this orange brown and yellow butterfly.But I also remeber sitting outside under our weeping willow tree at night and my bug box lighting up from the fireflies in it that I had caught :) I remeber carrying this box with me everywhere I went. It had a string handle on it and a small wooden door that latched .

And after all this time, I still own this bug box .

Pictures of my Plants

My plants in my garden are starting to bloom and the bees are out in force !!
I have lots of different plants.
So I thought I would share a few pics with you :)

This is my Honeysuckle Plant . Its got loads of blooms getting
ready to open on it ..and the smell is going
to be soooooo sweet :)

This is my Callum Lily plant :)
Its got a few blooms on it but they are not ready to open yet :(

This is a fern that was real tiny a year ago....and this
year it has grown so big !!
It hides under a bush we have .

Not sure what this one is called .
But it has loads of these white blooms on it and the bees go crazy !

Emma's 6th birthday

My daughter had a really nice birthday. The kids at school LOVED the cupcakes.

And when she got home she was all excited about her cuttlekids machine, that she wanted to make a card.

I did help her a little bit, but only to line up the paper and help glue stuff down. The rest she did by herself.

She told me it isnt finished and I am not to mess with it LOL.


I mentioned there was a lot of birthays this month. And really there is, My daughters birthday was today the 11th, then on the 14th is my great neices, and on the 19th is my 2 twin neices. And they are all turning 6 !!!!! Then my sisters birthday is on the 23rd . And I also have a few friends with birthdays this month as well LOL . So I have been busy busy .

I made a couple of cards with the Sarah Kay stamp. I think they are so cute. Very country :)

CupCakes and Cards

I have not posted for a few days. I have been super busy making cards for birthdays this month !! I know 7 people with a birthday in February . And today I was working on finishing some cards and making cupcakes. Tomorrow is my daughters 6th birthday , so I made YUMMY cupcakes for her class. She is all excited.

Dont they look YUMMY :)

Plus Valentines Day is in a couple of days. I made a set of his and her cards for my son and his girlfriend.
They turned out really well :)

Emmas 6th Birthday

So I couldnt decide on what to get my daughter for her birthday . Dolls or teddies or craft stuff.
I went with craft items because when I am making cards...she is sat right next to me watching everything I am doing...she then goes to the scrap box and gets out paper and gets some card and makes cards along side me. So I thought well....she loves die cuts..she has a blast turning the handle and all of that stuff. So I am getting her a Cuttlekids machine ....it comes with 3 sets of girly dies...and I am also getting her an extra 3 ,2-step dies.

OO I have to say as well....I came across a blog..and was reading the posts and looking at the cards on it....then realized the womans name was Emma.....and not only that her birthday is the same day as my daughters....11th of Feb.
How cool is that.....
