Older Easter Projects

Here are some more past Easter projects
 to hopefully inspire you.

Bunny Easter Baskets
I designed these baskets for my kids.I used my Cricut machine to cut them out.
I love how they turned out. And my kids were made up with them.

 Small Easter Baskets

Again, I wanted something different for my kids for Easter, so I designed this basket and cut it out with my Cricut.

Easter/Spring Watering Can Gift Bag and Card
This set is from SVGCUTS.com, I made this set for my mother-in-law.

Thank you for looking and
I hope you are inspired to create something :)

Mother's Day Cards and Older Projects

Good evening everyone,

I have been working on some Mother's Day cards.
And as you know in England it comes earlier than in the states.
I thought I would also post some older projects as well :)

So I will start with the newer ones and work thru to the older projects.
The first projects are the Mother's Day cards I have been working on.
I wanted something simple and pretty and had seen this sort of design
on cards. I like the honeycomb look :)
The flowers are cut out on my cricut expression machine, and
I used a free SVG file from  Bird's Cards and you can find them here
I followed her directions on how to make them look more real.
I also used a free SVG file from Bird's Cards for the pennant.
You can find them at the link above.
To make the hexagons, I used my MTC software and
sized them to fit inside one another.

Valentines Day cards
The stamp is from House Mouse designs. I used promarkers on the image.
I love how it turned out.
Other items used:
Papers from My Minds Eye
Sentiment from: Whimsy Stamps and Dies
Gems and Ribbon from stash
Flower Punch

This is another Valentines day Card I made for another friend.

Perfect Mailbox
This mailbox is a SVG file from My Scrap Chick you can find it here.
It was super easy to put together. I have made a few for some friends birthdays.
Side View
As you can see the mailbox does open. It can hold quite a bit of candy or other small items.

 Christmas Bag

I made this Christmas bag for my daughters teacher.
She really loved it, I put cookies in it for her along with
some peppermint candy canes.
The bags I bought from a local store, and then used some SVG's that I
got from SVG CUTS to spruce the bag up.  You can find the set here.

Beary Christmas

Here is a small Christmas card I made for a friend. It was really
simple to make but turned out so super cute.
The stamp is from FizzyMoon
and I used Promarkers to colour it in. I then used some string glitter to
add some dimension to the card.

Thanks for stopping by,
Cheryl

Happy Sunday

Good afternoon,

Has everyone had a good weekend? Hope so:)

Lets get onto some projects I have made starting with some old ones  :)

This is a birthday gift set I made for my daughters best friend Hannah. She was turning 10.
And I always like to do something special for her.
This is a close up of the card. I love this stamp and Hannah's birthday falls in October so
I thought they were autumn type colours but
still bright and cheerful
This is the cupcake box I made to match the card. The cupcake was quite big
Items used:
Card Stock from First Edition
Ribbon and Gems from stash
Stamp: TGF Birthday Anya
I coloured her with Promarkers.

The second project I am showing you is another Gift sets I made for
my mom and mother-in-law. Their birthdays fall in the same month.

Again I used the Birthday Anya and coloured her in with promarkers.
On the inside of the purse there is a tiny card that matches
the patterened paper on the outside of the purse.
I stamped the image in matching coloures on the plain card stock to add a bit of dimension.
I found the pattern for the purse on Splitcoast Stampers.

Items used;
Nestabilities
Cricut expression machine
Ribbon and Glitter from stash

The last Projects I will show today are the Birthday cards I made for my sons this past year. My oldest son David turned 17 and my youngest son Derek turned 13.
The top image is the card I made for David. He plays guitar and
I really liked this image, looked vintage to me .
I had not made a twist easle card before, so was really pleased with the way it turned out.

This card I made for Derek , again I had not ever made a waterfall card before.
And I found a super easy video on youtube, that walks you thru
all the steps to make one.
So if you have not made one either....give it a try its easy
and they are super cute!

This is the card my daughter made David for his birthday.
The TV card is a free SVG file you can find on SVGCUTs
I went into my MTC software and made it into a card.
I then used my Imagine machine to print and cut the image on the tv screen.
My daughter put the card together.

This is the card Emma made Derek for his birthday. It is a type of swing card.
She wanted to do a skater because her big bro loves to skateboard.
The image was cut out useing MTC.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fab day!

Almost Easter

 Happy Easter everyone,

I think it is important that crafters be informed of their options.

There are some really good die-cut machines on the market
at the moment that are of high quality materials. And can cut proper circles!
Here is a quick list of some of them, and these are in no certain order:
1. Silhouette SD
2. Boss Kut-Gazelle
3. Black Cat Lynx
4. Black Cat Cougar
5. E-craft
6. Pazzels

And please, please research these cutters to find out which is best for you. You can go here and read the reviews of some of the machines. Jin has done a fab job:)
And OMG Lettering Delights hit 10k members on FB!!!! Congrats everyone, and to thank their fans they are giveing away free sets!! 11 freebies to be exact and you can find them here.
Lettering Delights is awesome!!! Love their SVG files!!
Also I will be putting a list of sites on my blog to other blogs as well as stores that have FREE SVG files and sell SVG files. So be watching for that :)

So ok, I thought I would post a few things I have been working on for Easter.
I hope you like them :)

Cadbury Egg Box
This is the top and I used a Free SVG file from SVGCUTS.COM you can find it here

This is the inside of the box.

Easter Baskets
These are cute Easter Baskets I made using MTC Software.
This Basket was made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock.
I put lace around the top of it to spice it up a bit lol.
And on the sides there are flowers where I joined the handle.
I also made a macthing card.

The stamp is from Penny Black: Easter Bonet
I used Promarkers to colour the image in and then added some glossy accents to a couple places.

Small Easter Baskets

The bunny SVG is also free and you can find it here at Jennifer Scrap Shack.
I kept proportions and sized it to 3and 1/2 wide
I used my Sizzix texture plate to emboss them and then added a bit of cotton wool for the tail.
The top basket is for a boy and the one beneath is for a girl. On the boy baskets I used dark colour buttons instead of flowers where the handle joins.
Also I stapled the handles on to give them a bit of re-enforcement.

These easter baskets were sized at 8x8
The handle was 1and1/2 inches wide by 10 inches long....
might of been shorter cant find the paper I wrote it down on lol ,
so size to whatever suits your needs.

Thanks for looking :)

Halloween Pictures and Cards

Happy Autumn to everyone.
So sorry I have not posted anything for some time.
I have been very busy. So I am trying to play catch up on a few things.

Good news though, I have been asked to create the banner for my wards
Christmas party this year :)
I am Very excited about being able to do that :)

Also I have joined the PTA at my daughters school, and will be helping them with their Christmas fair, they are trying to have more homemade baked goods this year, so I will be doing a lot of baking, as well as helping out on the craft stalls for the kids. So I am going to be busy for the next few weeks :)

Anyways, since I am trying to catch up on projects and cards I have made over the past few months, I thought I would get them all posted today!!!!

So to start things off I thought I would post the pics of my kids at Halloween :)

David, Derek and Emma Halloween 2010
As you can see my oldest son David didnt feel like
dressing up this year :(

This is my beautiful daughter Emma in her very cute witches outfit :) She said "witches have green faces"....so that is what we did...and I dont know if you can tell, but she has a black mole drawn on her face , she said" mommy witches have big black moles by their noses" Can you tell how excited she was :)

And this is my youngest son Derek as a dead school boy hehe had
a lot of fun doing this outfit and his make-up.

Had a very good Halloween, was not too cold this year and it did'nt rain !!!
I made a huge pot of homemade chilli, and when we got home we had that and watched movies :)

Wedding Anniversary Card
This is a card I made for a friend of mine, she wanted male colours but for it to be a bit feminine.
So I did just that :) Used male colours, deep reds and blues and greys, and added flowers and glitter to make it a bit feminine. And she loved it :)

Complete Boy paper pack by My Minds Eye...love this paper pack!!!
Sewing Machine
Nesties
Flower punch and blue gems
White Gelly Roll pen

Stamp by Magnolia:
I used Promarkers on the image.
Skin: Ivory,Vanilla, Saffron
Cheeks:Soft Peach, Coral
Dress and Top: Ivory
Pants: Cool Grey 2 and Black
Shoes:Henna
Roses: Berry Red

Another Wedding Anniversary Card:)
This card I made for another friend of mine, she wanted something a bit cheeky :) So again that is what I did hehe . And she too loved the card:)

Items used:
Penny Lane paper pack
Purple and White cardstock
Ribbon from stash
Border punch from MS

Stamp by TGF
I used promarkers on the image.
Skin and Cheeks: Ivory, Vanilla, Saffron, Coral and Soft Peach
Hair: Pastel Yellow and Buttercup
Dress and Shoes: Mulberry
I did her lips in Red before I stamped , if you do this give it a few minutes to dry, or it could possibly smear when mixing in other colours.

Birthday Card
I got asked to make a birthday card for a woman that was turning 60. I was asked if it could be black and white with pearls. Well I am not used to making
black and white cards period lol.......so this was a bit of a challenge for me!!
But I was up for it!! And it turned out way
better than I thought it would !!
And the woman that asked me to make it, thought it was very elegant:)
Which made me feel very good !!

Items used:
White and Black cardstock
LetterPress with Black ink
Sizzix texture plate
Self Adhesive Pearls
Flowers from stash
Nesties

Wedding Card
So many people have had babies this year and so many people
have been getting married...am sure its something in the water !!! :)

Items used:
White and Gold cardstock
Peel-off stickers
Roses from stash and I took a Promarker around
the edge of the roses to highlight them.

Stamp by Magnolia
I used Promarkers on the image.
Skin and Cheeks: Ivory, Vanilla, Saffron, Coral, and Soft Peach
Dress, Shirt, Pants and Shoes: Ivory, Cool Grey 2 and Black, Henna
Hair: Cinnamon,Henna
Roses: Burgundy

Going Back to August hehe
This is the card I made for Emmas teacher when they returned to school. She was so excited and nervous at the same time about going back because her brother Derek had left the school and gone into highschool:( Gosh how they grow!!!
So she asked if I would make something for her class and her teacher and this is what I came up with.
Since her teacher this year is a male...I didnt think giving him a card to match her Top-Note basket would be ok lol......so I made him the card above. And he really liked it:)

The Top-Note basket I made on my cricut machine.
I found a design, but it wouldnt work!!
So I sat and sat and sat some more and designed a basket that pretty much matched the one I had tried to use.

The lollipops inside are covered with a strawberry lollipop holder,
that I also cut on my machine.
There was enough in this little basket for 27 kids and 1 teacher :)

Baby Carry All Front View
Told you there was lots of woman having babies this year !! This is one of the Baby Carry Alls I made. Again I had found a cut file to use. But upon opening it, I found out that it was the wrong type of file for my program:(
So again I sat and sat and sat some more and re-designed this file! And came up with this, which is pretty close to the one I tried to use!! So I am happy!!
And my friends that have had babies this past summer have loved them !!

Side View
Another Baby Card
I designed this Baby card for a teacher....she didnt know what she was having and didnt want to find out until the baby was born....didnt think anyone did that anymore hehehe
So I used colours that would be ok for a boy or girl!!

Cri-Kit Gel Pens for the Cricut
Ok so I had not bought any craft stuff for awhile!! Talking like 4-5 months !!! So when I seen these I thought omg how cool are they !! And they are very cool!!

So what do they do ?
Well they are pens that come with a case and are magnetic at one end and fit right into your cricut machine . They allow you to draw the images , or wording!!
And if you have a program like MTC or SCAL not sure if its the same in Cricut design studio....but it allows you to draw and then cut out the image !!!

So that is what I had done above....with the gel pens , it drew the image, and then I change the holder back to the cricut blade and cut the image out on the cricut.

I coloured in the ears, toes and flowers with my Pastel Sakura pens.
They turned out really nice :)

Thanks for looking:)

So this week I have made a couple of cards for
some challenges. And finished off some
other projects I have
been working on .

This is the card I made for the challenge over at
Anyone For Anya challenge blog.
The challenge this week is
called "Perfect Paper Piecing".

Make sure to check out the fab DT cards you can find them here .

I used part of the skecth from
Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog for this card.

I have layered my papers and at the end of them where
I used the border punch I rolled them up
so they would lift off the page .

I also paper pieced some of Anya's clothes.
I stamped my image onto some Christmas Dovecraft
paper and cut out the pieces I wanted to use and
glued them to the image.

I was sat looking for some snowflake diecuts that
I have ....but couldnt find them anyplace haha .
So a friend of mine
punched some for me :)
I added a gem to the center of them for more detail.
