Two Challenges and Other Goodies

So this week I have made a couple of cards for
some challenges. And finished off some
other projects I have
been working on .

This is the card I made for the challenge over at
Anyone For Anya challenge blog.
The challenge this week is
called "Perfect Paper Piecing".

Make sure to check out the fab DT cards you can find them here .

I used part of the skecth from
Just Christmas and Birthday Cards blog for this card.

I have layered my papers and at the end of them where
I used the border punch I rolled them up
so they would lift off the page .

I also paper pieced some of Anya's clothes.
I stamped my image onto some Christmas Dovecraft
paper and cut out the pieces I wanted to use and
glued them to the image.

I was sat looking for some snowflake diecuts that
I have ....but couldnt find them anyplace haha .
So a friend of mine
punched some for me :)
I added a gem to the center of them for more detail.

Items used:
White cardstock
Papers from Dovecraft
Ribbon, gems,glitter from stash
Martha Stewart Border Punch

Stamp:
Rain,Snow,Shine by TGF
I coloured her with Promarkers

Stampin for the Weekend and GDT Call

I was sat colouring images last night ,
messing around with the promarkers I have.
And today I was blog
hopping and seen a challenge over at Stampin' for the Weekend.
The theme this week is Orange , Brown and Green.
Well most of the images I have been colouring
fit perfectly with that colour scheme.
Very autumny colours :)

So I made this card for the challenge.

I used the sketch from FFF challenge.
I thought it was very pretty
and fairly easy to do .

Be Thankful
Can you spot the difference lol ...knew there was something I forgot to do haha .

Items used :
White, green and orange cardstock
Papers by DCWV and K&Co
Ribbon, flowers, twine and button from stash
Martha Stewart border punch

Image :
Emma with pumpkin by C.C Designs
I coloured the image with Promarkers

I have a had a few comments on my colouring :) Thank you all very much.
I have not had my promarkers for very long , not even a week tbh.
There are some really great tutorials and
videos out that show you how to use these markers.

And seeing as Copics and Promarkers are alcohol
based markers, you can watch tutorials and
videos for either to learn tips and stuff :)

Hope this has helped :)

Roses on Paper Challenge 22

The 1st card is for the Challenge and the 2nd card is
what I was going to submit but used the
wrong stamp lol . I still posted the card anways :)

I have entered this card into 3 challenges this week.

The challenge this week at Roses on Paper is to pick
a sketch, your choice , and a colour scheme.
The colours are Green,
Orange, and Brown.

I had made a card for this challenge yesterday and
was going to post it..but I had used the
wrong stamp lol .
Sooo I had to make another card .
I am not used to useing browns, oranges or greens
in cards other than for some
grass or trees haha .
So I had a lot of fun making these cards.

I am also entering this card into the
Anyone for Anya challenge . The theme this week
is to pick a TGF image that best represents your personality.
Well since it is getting cold outside and I have broke
out my sweaters and scarves, I thought
this image would be cute.

So the sketch I chose for my card is from
Belles 'N Whistles Blog. I liked
the idea of the
leaves on the card, and thought I would try it.
Plus the layout is really pretty . So am also
entering it into
the BnW challenge.

One Eyed Pretty Monster Card and Treat Bag

I have been making some small treat bags for Halloween with matching cards. I have been asked how I make my treat bags. So I thought I would show a set I have made and then a small tutorial on how I make the bags.

One Eyed Pretty Monster

I cut the eye out with nestabilities . And put a 3-d tab to raise the eyebrow off the card .I embossed the mouth on the card and bag so it would have some depth to it.
I used my zigzag scissors to cut the hair out .

The bow is a die from my daughters Cuttlekids set.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Box Tutorial
Items used:
5x10 inch piece of cardstock or paper
Glue or sticky tape
Twine
Hole punch
Score board (if you have one)
Scissors
I know my pictures are not very good...but I thought
I would try and show how I make my boxes.
I dont have a score board , so I have drawn the lines on the paper to show
you and marked it off so you could see the measurements.
The cardstock is 5x10
and then I marked a 1 inch line on each side , and in the middle
I have marked 4.5 and 5.5 inch mark .
These are the lines you will score on .
After I have scored all lines and I cut the middle 2 flaps ,
this helps support the bottom of the bag. I fold up the one end
and tape it to the 2 flaps for the base.
And then I fold up the last side and tape it in place.
You can adjust them how you like .
After all of that I punch 2 small holes on the side and
put my twine thru and tie knots into it .
Let me know what you think and
thank you for looking :)
SophistiCat Challenge and More
Hello,
Sorry I have not posted anything for a few days, I have been so sick :(
Sneezeing left and right , it was horrible. Then on top of it I
had a pinched nerve in my neck
and couldnt do anything .
Well I am feeling a bit better lol . I did manage to make a few things.
Couldnt handle just laying around .
So this week over at SophistiCat Challenge , the challenge is a sketch set by Karen,
andon top of that ,NO STAMPS !!
I was like omg lol when I read that haha .
No stamps ..what was I going to do .
So I rumaged through my stash and remebered I had some
really pretty decoupaged images a
friend had given to me . And thought they would be pretty to use.
I took the lightest pink card and ran it thru my Bigshot machine useing a texture plate .
Thought the pinstripe effect would be pretty and
would add some demension and depth to it .
Items used:
White ,olive,darkpink and light pink cardstock
Ribbon and gems from stash
Decoupaged image from friend:)
Texture plate
P.S.
Wanna say thanks for all the wonderful comments left . Am trying to get around to everyones blog.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This is a Birthday card and candle set I made for a friends birthday .

Love these stamps by TGF :) The card has a background scene that is a
digital stamp by Dustin Pike
It is one of his freebies. He does freebies every Wednesday I think .
So the card has the background scene and I tried to tie the candle into it
by having the pirate on land with a
treasure chest :)

Items used :
White,red and glitter black cardstock
Papers by DCWV
Nestabilites
Gromlets from stash
Light blue glitter glue

Stamp:
Matey from TGF
I used Whisper Strokes markers as
watercolour on the image ,
and added some Sakura black
glaze to the boots ,
and white glaze to the hat .
I also did the hat 3-d so it would
be raised off the card .
