Two Cards and One Roundie Today

So today I was up very early , and the postman brought me my new stamp:) So I thought I would have a play and see what I could make .

This first card is for the competition over at Dies to Die For .
Useing the very cute sketch by Dawny P.
First prize is the new Miss Anya Rain Snow or Shine stamp set !

So here is my card .

I didnt add embellishments...I thought the glitter flower card was enough.

My second card was just me playing around with the stamp tbh.
And so I made this pocket card .

Cuttlebug Birthday Card

I made this card for the challenge at
Cuttlebug Challenges .
Challenge #32 is hearts and butterflies. Well I dont have a lot of
Cuttlebug Items..:(
But it says you can still join in :)

I think I will be purchaseing some cuttlebug dies lol ...after seeing what
the DT has created , it has inspired me !

Polka Doodle Challenge

Problems with Blogs and Internet Explorer

For those of you haveing problems due to Internet Explorer and blogs.......you might want to try Mozilla Firefox browser. Which you can find here and here .
The first link is for Europe...the 2nd is for the U.S.
Just run and install.

I myself do not use IE way to many bugs . I use Firefox,and have no problems with blogs .

Sweet Wishes Card

I received my new Whiff of Joy summer stamps today and decided
to make a 1 card for 2 challenges. These stamps are
sooooo cute !!!!!!
And they are really nice to colour in as well !!
Have started working on other cards as well LOL.

1st: is Creative Inspirations Challenge, Challenge 9
Theme is : Create a card useing your Favorite stamp.
Well at the moment this stamp is my favorite ! Although I dont know
what she is called. :(

Elisabeth Bell Designs

I found this blog candy ....blog hopping today and looking at loads of wonderful cards made by people :)
Some really pretty cards out there :)
Anyways..I came across this candy and it lead me to Elisabeth Bell Designs .
So to enter Elisabeth's wonderful candy you have to share a special childhood moment .

So this is mine :)

When I was , I think 8-9 I was sooo into insects !! Loved them !! Loved catching crickets and caterpillers and lighting bugs(fireflies) all sorts . So my mother knew a woman that made handmade bug boxes . And she had her make me one . The box was wonderful , I thought it was the neatest thing ever ..not only did my mom have her make me a wooden bug box, but she had painted on it . So on this box is an image of a girl with butterflies and crickets, and my name was painted on it as well . So I caught a caterpiller and I dont really remeber how long it was , might of been a few weeks, but it had cacooned and hatched into this orange brown and yellow butterfly.But I also remeber sitting outside under our weeping willow tree at night and my bug box lighting up from the fireflies in it that I had caught :) I remeber carrying this box with me everywhere I went. It had a string handle on it and a small wooden door that latched .

And after all this time, I still own this bug box .

Butterfly Card

Yesterday I went to a craft demo at Southport . It was a lot of fun !!
Not been to one before :( So I plan on going again :)
I didnt buy a lot of stuff.....Just got a craft mat , some 12x12 papers ,
a dcwv 4.5x6 papers and blender pens.
I have got to say though.....The demonstrator made some really pretty cards! And she made them soooooo fast !!
I can't make cards that fast haha and have them look nice .
I guess that comes with experiance.
However I did learn some new techinques I will be useing in the future .
So all in all it was a good day :)

So I also found out that the Whiff of Joy summer stamps have been
dispatched !! Am soooooooooo excited !
Not orderd stamps like that before , so I will be watching for my postman :)


Anyways hehe
So I bought a stack of the DCWV garden papers yesterday .
And this is the cute card I made .

The butterflys are from the papers as well . I cut them out
and glued the center part down
so that the wings would lift off the page :)

Pictures of my Plants

My plants in my garden are starting to bloom and the bees are out in force !!
I have lots of different plants.
So I thought I would share a few pics with you :)

This is my Honeysuckle Plant . Its got loads of blooms getting
ready to open on it ..and the smell is going
to be soooooo sweet :)

This is my Callum Lily plant :)
Its got a few blooms on it but they are not ready to open yet :(

This is a fern that was real tiny a year ago....and this
year it has grown so big !!
It hides under a bush we have .

Not sure what this one is called .
But it has loads of these white blooms on it and the bees go crazy !

Nephews Birthday Card

I made this card for my nephew's birthday .
Am so not good at making male cards!!

I took pictures of the inside of the card ....but they all came out very very blurry. So will try again in a bit and will get them posted :)

Roses on Paper and Creative Inspiration Challenge

Ok so I made one card for these two challenges. I had fun doing this.
It was a bit of a challenge for me. First because over
at Roses on Paper, the challenge was to create a folder card .
Well I had not made one of these before. But on Jodi's Blog
there is a great tutorial of how to make one.
Didn't realize how easy it was !!
And then on Creative Inspirations Challenge , you are to
follow the sketch by Maxine.
Well again, I am not used to following sketches . So again it was a
bit of a challenge trying to get the papers right and the
embellishments so it all worked well together.
But I have some new stuff to play with, hehe, and
was up to the challenge!!
And yes I will be making more of these folder cards :)
