One Eyed Pretty Monster Card and Treat Bag

I have been making some small treat bags for Halloween with matching cards. I have been asked how I make my treat bags. So I thought I would show a set I have made and then a small tutorial on how I make the bags.

One Eyed Pretty Monster

I cut the eye out with nestabilities . And put a 3-d tab to raise the eyebrow off the card .I embossed the mouth on the card and bag so it would have some depth to it.
I used my zigzag scissors to cut the hair out .

The bow is a die from my daughters Cuttlekids set.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Box Tutorial
Items used:
5x10 inch piece of cardstock or paper
Glue or sticky tape
Twine
Hole punch
Score board (if you have one)
Scissors
I know my pictures are not very good...but I thought
I would try and show how I make my boxes.
I dont have a score board , so I have drawn the lines on the paper to show
you and marked it off so you could see the measurements.
The cardstock is 5x10
and then I marked a 1 inch line on each side , and in the middle
I have marked 4.5 and 5.5 inch mark .
These are the lines you will score on .
After I have scored all lines and I cut the middle 2 flaps ,
this helps support the bottom of the bag. I fold up the one end
and tape it to the 2 flaps for the base.
And then I fold up the last side and tape it in place.
You can adjust them how you like .
After all of that I punch 2 small holes on the side and
put my twine thru and tie knots into it .
Let me know what you think and
thank you for looking :)
SophistiCat Challenge and More
Hello,
Sorry I have not posted anything for a few days, I have been so sick :(
Sneezeing left and right , it was horrible. Then on top of it I
had a pinched nerve in my neck
and couldnt do anything .
Well I am feeling a bit better lol . I did manage to make a few things.
Couldnt handle just laying around .
So this week over at SophistiCat Challenge , the challenge is a sketch set by Karen,
andon top of that ,NO STAMPS !!
I was like omg lol when I read that haha .
No stamps ..what was I going to do .
So I rumaged through my stash and remebered I had some
really pretty decoupaged images a
friend had given to me . And thought they would be pretty to use.
I took the lightest pink card and ran it thru my Bigshot machine useing a texture plate .
Thought the pinstripe effect would be pretty and
would add some demension and depth to it .
Items used:
White ,olive,darkpink and light pink cardstock
Ribbon and gems from stash
Decoupaged image from friend:)
Texture plate
P.S.
Wanna say thanks for all the wonderful comments left . Am trying to get around to everyones blog.
This is a Birthday card and candle set I made for a friends birthday .
Love these stamps by TGF :) The card has a background scene that is a
digital stamp by Dustin Pike
It is one of his freebies. He does freebies every Wednesday I think .
So the card has the background scene and I tried to tie the candle into it
by having the pirate on land with a
treasure chest :)
Items used :
White,red and glitter black cardstock
Papers by DCWV
Nestabilites
Gromlets from stash
Light blue glitter glue
Stamp:
Matey from TGF
I used Whisper Strokes markers as
watercolour on the image ,
and added some Sakura black
glaze to the boots ,
and white glaze to the hat .
I also did the hat 3-d so it would
be raised off the card .
"A Perfect Day" SophistiCat Challenge
Hello,
Today, I made this pocket card and note card set for the challenge
over at SophistiCat Challenge Blog . The challenge this week is set by Lyn,
to "make something that can hold something" .
Your colours ,your way.
If you have not been to thier blog yet, you really should check it out.
Some very talented crafters over there :)
So onto my card now :)
A Perfect Day
I wasnt sure about useing these colours together .
So in that was a challenge for me . I had bought the
Laura Ashley Flocked papers awhile back and
thought they were really pretty ...and they have
sat and sat and sat in my desk lol .
Didnt have anything to use them on :(
This is one of the note cards . The image matches the
image on the front of the card.
I used Chalk inks to do the flower image .
And the same colour around the trim of the note card.
I tried to do a sentiment in the same colour as the flowers but it just didnt turn out right, it kept smearing . So I ended up useing black ink.
Inside of the card . I used the Martha Stewart border
punch again and inked it with the same
chalk ink as on the note cards. And added some little flower brads to
the sides to hold them together .
Used some lace to finish the card off .
Items used :
White and chocolate cardstock
Green paper by DCWV
Flocked paper by Laura Ashley
Laceand brads from stash
Papermania free Stamp :
I used Chalk Box inks on it .
Sentiment from same set .
Thanks for looking :)
I drew for the contest at TGF for "Design My Sprout"
The Challenge ends on the 24th of Sept.
The winner will recieve their sprout , and 3 single stamps :)
Masquerade
I redrew her to scale and coloured her in. Excuse my
colouring the paper isnt the right
type t0 use markers on. And it is a pencil drawing .
This is just to show
how she could look :) I was trying for a look that could be used
on prom, costume parties ,
dance cards or other occassions.
Original image
Also Thank You to all who have left me comments about what type of markers to get :)
I still have some thinking to do as to cost and things like that, but will let you know as soon as I decide :)
Thanks for looking :)
Copics or Promarkers ?
Am just trying to find out what people prefer to use. Copics or Promarkers ?And if Copics what kind?...Cause there are sketch and ciao and normal lol . What are the advantages or dis-advantages of useing Copics or Promarkers ? Do you need a certain type of paper or ink to stamp with before useing them ?
Is there any difference at all between them other than colours and branding name ?
I am wanting to buy a set of markers . But its very confuseing :(
At the moment I use Whisper Strokes markers with a waterbrush . And watercolour paper for my images stamped with Stazon ink .
Thank you for helping me :)
