Am just trying to find out what people prefer to use. Copics or Promarkers ?And if Copics what kind?...Cause there are sketch and ciao and normal lol . What are the advantages or dis-advantages of useing Copics or Promarkers ? Do you need a certain type of paper or ink to stamp with before useing them ?
Is there any difference at all between them other than colours and branding name ?
I am wanting to buy a set of markers . But its very confuseing :(
At the moment I use Whisper Strokes markers with a waterbrush . And watercolour paper for my images stamped with Stazon ink .

hiya by far i think copics are best i was asking the same questions before i brought mine. I think copics blend more easy.I have never regreted buying my copic and would recomend them.

Cheryl - I don't own any pro-markers but they look like the Tria markers that I do own and the tips are different.
The copic markers come in a variety of tips and getting one of the copic styles that has the brush tip is the way to go...you can get in teeny places with a light touch and I love them! Hundreds of colors...I don't think you'd be sorry, I'm sure not!

I've only recently bought a few Copics, so I can't really comment on them vs PMs apart from the Copic brush head is really flexible and you can get into smaller spaces much more easily and neatly. You will need very smooth cardstock to use them with and also different ink too. I use Memento Dye Ink to stamp my images, although there are other dye inks that are suitable.

as long as you get a suitable card and ink you won't get any bleeding or smudging
I prefer the promarkers and they are more affordable in my opinion. Greater control with the bullet nib

I started with ProMarkers and then progressed to Copic Ciao because they blend better and don't fade. The best card to use is something like Bristol Board because it doesn't allow the pens to bleed, plus you'll need an ink like Momento. HTH!

I use both Copic Ciao and Promarkers can't decide which I prefer! Promarkers don't bleed as much for me, I find the Copics are very "juicy" and I have to be more careful. But I interchange both and am having fun with both types while I make my mind up :). If I had LOTS of money, I'd choose the fancy Copics that come in a wider range of colours and buy all the soft colours and the rest. But then I think I'd be homeless LOL
